  6. Fun with Math -- Fractals, Choas, Rainbows, Wallpaper ...
    • Fractals --  A meta-list of fractals sites that classifies these sites using icons to indicate whether they are for high school or college students and it they have images, animation, motion picture or a java requirement.
    • Exploring Fractals -- This site for secondary students explores several aspects of fractals. After an introduction to fractals, the author explores assigning dimensions, both non-integer and integer, and several ways of generating fractals.
    • Fractals --  A page designed to answer the questions: "What is a fractal?", What do fractals look like?, and "How can I find out  more about fractals?"
    • Glossary of Math Mistakes  An explanation of common mathematical/statistical mistakes made by advertisers, the media, reporters, politicians, activists, and in general many non-math people
    • Mathemagic Activities --Card tricks, calculational wizardry, and geometry & topology curiosities that are all based on simple mathematics.
    • The Mathematics of Rainbows -- Circles of Light
    • Introduction to Wallpaper Patterns -- This introduction investigates plane patterns whose symmetries are translations, glide reflections, and rotations.
    • M. C. Escher: Artist or Mathematician? -- A 1997 ThinkQuest entry which explores Escher's life and work. Several pages on this site show examples of Escher's  tesselated sketches. Click on one of the sketchs to see the finished work using the type of symmetry illustrated and an explanation.
